Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has created the most health challenge in the recent years. Understanding the symptoms is important in the recognition of severity of disease and identification of its palliative factors. Spiritual health is known an important factor in reducing distress of patients, this study was designed to determine the relationship between spiritual health and symptoms of COVID-19 patients during the pandemic.
Materials and Methods: Data were collected using a cross-sectional design to select COVID-19 patients of a special hospital in Qom. Convenience sampling was carried out during the May– June 2020. Participants were asked to fill out the demographic questionnaire. The spiritual health and symptoms of patients were measured using the Paloutzain and Ellison Spiritual Health and the Edmonton Symptom Assessment Scales respectively. Pearson’s correlation coefficient, t-test and ANOVA was conducted to data analysis.
Results: The findings demonstrated that most of the participants had high-average levels of spiritual health 70.14 (2.96) and average levels of symptoms 60.79(21.07). Spiritual health were negatively correlated with lack of Well-being (r= -.131, p < .05) and Anxious symptoms (r=-.115, p < .05). Religious health was correlated with Anxious symptoms (r= -.109, p < .05) and Drowsy (r= -.114, p < .05) and lack of Well-being (r= -.115, p < .05).
Conclusion: This research confirmed the relationship of Spiritual health with some symptoms. Single patients and older adults had higher levels of symptoms and their management is a priority during the pandemic.

Introduction: Improving competent and active groups’ quality of life level is one of the important health priorities which understanding effective factors have been noticed in the recent years. This study aimed to determine the relationship between religious orientation and students’ quality of life at Qom University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive – analytical study was done on 98 students at Qom University of Medical Sciences using random selection method. The survey data was collected through the religious Orientation Scale and quality of life questionnaire and then was analyzed by means of SPSS 16 software using t-test and Pearson correlation tests.
Results: The mean scores and standard deviations of religious orientation and quality of life were 194/95 ± 14/46 and 524/67 ± 47/05, respectively. There was not observed any significant relationship between religious orientation and quality of life domains of the students, statistically (p>0/05).
Conclusion: obtaining desirable the quality of life and religious orientation scores was a positive finding in this study. Lack of significant relationship between these two components indicates a need for more researches about religious practice.

Background and Purpose: Despite the known effect of problem-based learning, there are still many challenges against its being replaced with the conventional methods. This research was conducted to find out the students’ experiences of the modified problem-based learning (MPBL) combined with working in small groups. Methods and Materials: In this qualitative study, 35 nursing students participated. The course of Pediatric Nursing was instructed to the students by the modified problem-based learning method and working in small groups. There were 35 semi-structured and 6 group-oriented interviews, which were analyzed by content analysis method. Results: Findings demonstrated that MPBL was associated with experiences of thinking, research, self–regulation, motivation and barriers. Barriers were its being time-consuming, difference of attitudes among group members and their resistance against change. Conclusion: Based on the results, MPBL is effective in reinforcing the learning mechanisms.
